Pre-cast Garage Floors

Pre-Cast and Pour-in-Place Concrete Garage Floors

Not every garage project has the same structural demands — that’s why we offer both pre-cast and pour-in-place concrete garage floor systems. Whether you’re building on a sloped lot, planning a tuck-under garage, or dealing with limited access, we tailor the solution to fit your site and performance needs.

Pre-cast systems are ideal when speed and site constraints are a concern. These floor panels are manufactured off-site to exact specifications, then installed with minimal disruption. They’re especially valuable for builds that require usable space below the garage slab, or when winter timelines demand rapid progress.

On the other hand, a poured concrete garage floor offers full control over reinforcement, depth, and finish detail. We form every slab with care, evaluate soil conditions beneath, and ensure drainage patterns are accounted for before the first truck rolls in. For residential projects with unique layouts or heavy load requirements, a poured approach often offers more flexibility.

We’ve helped clients throughout Minnesota weigh the benefits of each method, balancing long-term durability, structural performance, and budget. Our in-house team handles layout, prep, coordination, and install — ensuring that whether we’re lowering a pre-cast panel or finishing a fresh pour, the job is done cleanly and correctly.

Whichever route you choose, we focus on delivering garage floors that integrate seamlessly with foundations, driveways, and other surrounding flatwork. The goal is a final product that’s rock-solid, aligned, and ready to support years of vehicle use and Minnesota weather.

Why Pre-Cast concrete floors?

They are environmentally friendly because the thermal mass can reduce the need for air conditioning.  In addition, precast concrete flooring can prevent penetration of hazardous gasses such as carbon monoxide and won’t support growth of toxic mold.

There are three styles of precast concrete floors:

1.       Hollowcore:  This is the most common, efficient and flexible pre-cast floor solution and can be used in just about all building types, such as a garage.
2.       Beam and block:  This type of construction is typically used at ground floor level, although it is also suited to upper floor applications in a wide range of markets and building types.
3.       Lattice grinder:  This type of floor is particularly suited for car parks and offices.

Did you know that concrete can be made with waste byproducts, reducing the consumption of raw materials?  Concrete floors can incorporate recycled products, such as crushed glass, bits of recycled plastic, marble chips and metal shavings.

Cost-effective, environmentally friendly, aesthetically pleasing – these are just a few of the many reasons a concrete or pre-cast garage floor could be the best option for you.
